The Drama School of the National Theatre was founded at the same time as the National Theatre in May 1930 with the aim of providing the appropriate training for students in order to practice the profession of actor. The Drama School of the National Theatre offers a three-year study course, free of charge. Attendance is compulsory. The entrance examinations, using a transparent system, are conducted on an annual basis.<\/p>\n

The courses are divided into the following sections.<\/em><\/p>\n

Acting: The course is taught by professional actors and directors with many years of training experience.<\/p>\n

Theoretical courses: Drama, History of Theatre, History of Modern Greek Literature, Music Theory, History and Practice of Cinema.<\/p>\n

Technical courses: Dance, Expressive Body Movement, Alexander Method, Traditional Dances, Stage Combat, Kung Fu, Score Reading, Speech Training, Theatrical Singing \u2013 Vocals, Individual Singing, Scenography \u2013 Costume Design \u2013 Mask.<\/p>\n
